# Clever School Systems: Getting Started in Four Steps

> Register your school, enable your first modules, and invite your staff to Clever School Systems — all done in four straightforward steps.

This page walks you through everything you need to go from a brand-new account to a fully working Clever School Systems setup. By the end you will have registered your school, enabled the modules you need, and invited your staff — so your team can start working straight away.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Register Your School">
    Go to [https://cleverschool.systems/register](https://cleverschool.systems/register) and complete the registration form with your school's details. Once you submit the form, you'll receive an email asking you to verify your account — click the link in that email to activate it.

    If your school is part of a MAT or LA group, do not self-register. Schools in a group must be registered centrally so they are correctly linked together. Contact [support@cleverschool.systems](mailto:support@cleverschool.systems) to arrange this.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Log In and Explore">
    Once your account is verified, log in at [https://cleverschool.systems](https://cleverschool.systems). You'll land on the main dashboard, which gives you an overview of your school's activity. Your school starts with no modules enabled — you are in full control of which features are active and when they go live.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enable Your First Module">
    Navigate to **Administration** in the sidebar, then select **Modules**. Toggle on the modules your school needs — for example, Compliance Audit or Risk Assessment. Each module is fully independent, so enabling one has no effect on the others. You can enable or disable modules at any time.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add Your Staff">
    Still in **Administration**, go to **Users**. Invite staff members by entering their email addresses. Each person will receive an email invitation to set up their account. As you add each user, assign them the appropriate role (for example, Manager, Owner, or Approver) for each module they need to access.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  You must be an **Administrator** to enable modules and manage users.
