# Risk Register: Manage Your School's Strategic Risks

> The Risk Register module lets you record risks, assess likelihood and impact before and after treatment, and present a clear register to governors.

A Risk Register provides governors and leaders with a clear picture of the strategic risks facing your school and how they are being managed. The Risk Register module keeps it simple and accessible.

## Key Features

* Record risks with likelihood and impact ratings before and after treatment.
* Classify your approach: **Treat**, **Tolerate**, **Transfer**, or **Terminate** (Treat is the default).
* Group risks into categories for easy navigation.
* Add notes to explain changed or newly identified risk levels.
* Print as PDF for governor meetings and record keeping.

## How Risk Scoring Works

For each risk, you record **Likelihood** and **Impact** before treatment, then describe the control measures you are applying. After recording your controls, you record the new **Likelihood** and **Impact** after treatment. The register displays the movement in risk level clearly, giving governors an at-a-glance view of how well each risk is being managed.

  Add notes when a risk level changes or is newly identified. Keeping notes separate from the controls helps the register stay succinct and readable.
