Schools face a broad range of Health and Safety obligations scattered across legislation, guidance, and sector frameworks. The Safety Audit module brings 280 requirements across 35 categories into a single, manageable system — so nothing falls through the cracks. ## Key Features * **280 pre-loaded H\&S requirements** across 35 categories covering accidents, e-safety, contractor management, swimming pools, and much more * **Configurable for your school** — tailor the checks to your specific context and add further requirements as needed * **Assigned ownership** — assign SLT members to groups of requirements and individual staff to specific items so accountability is clear * **Notes** — record an explanation against each item describing how your school complies or plans to develop further * **Automated reminders** — area and item owners receive weekly email reminders when items are Unapproved, Not OK, or Overdue, and for items due within the next 4 weeks * **Flexible review dates** — defaults to annual; configurable up to 18 months ahead * **Printable audit** — print the completed audit as evidence of compliance for governor review ## How It Works The module is organised into **35 Safety Areas** (categories), each containing individual **Safety Items** (specific requirements). Assign each item to a named staff member who takes responsibility for keeping it up to date. When you mark an item as OK, its review date is automatically set to one year ahead. If an item is already due for review within the next 4 weeks, the date rolls forward one year from the *current* due date — not from today.
