## Working Through the Framework

Once you have completed the context and previous inspection sections, work through each Catholic framework area in turn:

1. Navigate to a framework area using the sidebar.
2. For each individual criterion, record your school's evaluation. Optionally, add supporting evidence — you can hyperlink to detailed documents where evidence is extensive.
3. Once you have evaluated the individual criteria, write the **four-part area summary**:
   * **Actions taken** — what your school has done in this area
   * **Impact of actions** — the difference those actions have made
   * **Current strengths** — what your school does well in this area
   * **Priorities for development** — what you are focusing on next

<Tip>
  Use the area summary pages to share a concise view of your school's self-evaluation with governors before inspections and governor meetings.
</Tip>

## Preparing for Inspection

* The SEF can be printed and shared with inspectors on arrival.
* Keep the document up to date throughout the year — it is an ongoing working document, not just an inspection preparation exercise.
