# Set Up the SIAMS SEF Module for Church of England Schools

> Enable the SIAMS SEF module for your Church of England school and use the inspection-ready two-page summary print format for SIAMS inspection.

The SIAMS SEF module gives your leadership team a structured space to self-evaluate against the Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools framework. Follow the steps below to enable the module and begin working through your self-evaluation.

## Quick Start

<Steps>
  <Step title="Enable the module">
    Go to **Administration > Modules** and enable **SIAMS SEF**.

  <Step title="Assign an SEF Manager">
    Go to **Administration > Users** and assign the **SEF Manager** role to the relevant senior leaders.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open the module">
    Reload the page and select **SIAMS SEF** from the sidebar to open the module.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Complete the context and previous inspection sections">
    Record your school's contextual statements and document progress against the priorities from your last SIAMS inspection.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Work through the framework">
    Navigate to each SIAMS framework area in turn. For each criterion, record your evaluation and optionally add supporting evidence. Once you have evaluated the criteria, write the four-part area summary: actions taken, impact of actions, current strengths, and priorities for development.

## Inspection-Ready Print Format

When preparing for SIAMS inspection, use the dedicated inspection print format:

* Select the **Inspection Print** option from within the module.
* This produces a two-page summary without grade evaluations, meeting the specific requirements of the SIAMS inspection process.

  Keep your SEF updated throughout the year. Regular review of each framework area makes the document genuinely useful for school improvement, not just inspection preparation.
