# SIAMS SEF: Church of England School Self-Evaluation Module
> The SIAMS SEF module provides a structured self-evaluation framework for Church of England schools, including an inspection-ready two-page summary format.
Church of England schools are inspected under the Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) framework. The SIAMS SEF module provides a structured space to self-evaluate against the SIAMS criteria — and includes a special inspection-ready print format that meets SIAMS requirements for a two-page summary without grade evaluations.
## What the SEF Covers
The SIAMS SEF module is organised to support your school from contextual scene-setting through to detailed, criterion-by-criterion evaluation:
* **School context statements** — set the scene before evaluative sections, so that any reader understands your school's circumstances
* **Progress against the previous inspection's priorities** — record the key priorities from your last SIAMS report and document your school's response to them
* **High-level school development plan summary** — capture your current development plan at a summary level
* **For each SIAMS framework area:**
* Individual criteria evaluations — record your school's position against each criterion
* Optional evidence detail — add supporting evidence at the level of detail that suits your school, with hyperlinks for extensive documentation
* A four-part area summary — actions taken, impact of those actions, current strengths, and priorities for further development
* **Inspection-ready print format** — a dedicated two-page summary without grade evaluations, meeting the specific requirements of the SIAMS inspection process
## Key Features
* **Evaluate at every level** — assess individual criteria in detail, then zoom out to a high-level area summary of strengths and development priorities
* **Hyperlink detailed evidence** — attach or link supporting evidence directly to the relevant criteria evaluation
