Initial setup must be carried out by an Administrator. Once a Compliance Manager is assigned, they can manage ongoing configuration.
Initial setup requires Administrator access.

Quick Start

1

Enable the module

Go to Administration > Modules and enable Compliance Audit.
2

Assign a Compliance Manager

In Administration > Users, assign the Compliance Manager role to one or more staff members.
Until at least one Compliance Manager is assigned, Administrators receive weekly alerts prompting you to complete this step.
3

Open the module

Reload the page and select Compliance Audit from the main navigation sidebar.
4

Explore

Browse the default Compliance Areas and Items. Try marking items as OK and adding notes to get a feel for the workflow.

Further Configuration

Access the management panel from the Manage option in the top-right dropdown menu.
The following configuration steps are available to Compliance Managers:
  • Assign Owners — assign the Compliance Owner role to staff who will be responsible for specific areas or items; Owners receive automated weekly reminders for items that are due or overdue
  • Configure areas and items — disable items that don’t yet apply to your school; archive items unlikely ever to apply; add custom areas and items; reorder to match your workflow
  • Set review dates — update review dates to align with your school’s compliance review cycle
Items are initially set up with no review date. Set review dates once you have gone through the initial audit.

Day-to-Day Operation

  • Owners receive weekly email reminders for items that are Unapproved, Not OK, or Overdue — plus items due for review within the next 4 weeks
  • Click the owner’s name next to any item to send them a quick email query
  • Print the completed audit from the module for governor evidence packs
