Quick Start
1

Go to Administration > Modules and enable Orthodox SEF.
2
Assign an SEF Manager
Go to Administration > Users and assign the SEF Manager role to the relevant senior leaders.
3
Open the module
Reload the page and select Orthodox SEF from the sidebar to open the module.
4
Complete the context and previous inspection sections
Record your school’s contextual statements and document progress against the priorities from your last inspection.
5
Work through each framework area
Navigate to each framework area in turn. For each criterion, record your evaluation and optionally add supporting evidence. Once you have evaluated the criteria, write the four-part area summary: actions taken, impact of actions, current strengths, and priorities for development.
Working Through the Framework
Once you have completed the context and previous inspection sections, work through each framework area in turn:- Navigate to a framework area using the sidebar.
- For each individual criterion, record your school’s evaluation. Optionally, add supporting evidence — you can hyperlink to detailed documents where evidence is extensive.
- Once you have evaluated the individual criteria, write the four-part area summary:
- Actions taken — what your school has done in this area
- Impact of actions — the difference those actions have made
- Current strengths — what your school does well in this area
- Priorities for development — what you are focusing on next
Preparing for Inspection
- The SEF can be printed and shared with inspectors on arrival.
- Keep the document up to date throughout the year — it is an ongoing working document, not just an inspection preparation exercise.
