If your school is part of a Multi-Academy Trust (MAT), federation, or Local Authority group, Clever School Systems supports central management of settings, compliance items, and development plans across all schools in the group.
Getting Set Up as a Group
Schools in a MAT or LA group must be registered centrally so they are linked together. Do not register each school independently. Contact support@cleverschool.systems to set up your group. What Groups Can Do
Being set up as a group unlocks a range of centralised management capabilities:
- Centralise compliance and safeguarding checklists so all schools in the group use consistent items.
- Create a group-level Development Plan and cascade themes to individual schools.
- Manage some module requirements centrally to reduce school-based workload.
- View consistency of standards across schools in the group.
Cascading Development Plans
You can create a Development Plan at group level that provides the core framework for all schools in the group. Individual schools receive that framework and can then develop it further to reflect their own priorities.
Area and initiative owners at school level continue to manage their own actions within the shared framework, keeping local autonomy while maintaining group-wide consistency.
Group-level coordinators have additional functionality in the Compliance, Safeguarding, and Development Planning modules to ensure consistency across schools.
